David Snowden MD was born into a heritage of five generations of farmers, so understanding how to get the most from the growing medium is second nature.

Drawing on his extensive experience in the turf industry, David enjoys success working with international Premier and Championship League football clubs, as well as both League and Union Rugby football clubs and a wide range of golf courses to maintain professional sports turf in peak condition.

With the growth in the viticulture sector in the UK, we are also delighted to work with some of the most prestigious vineyards and wine producers in England.

  • David began his career working at Lindum Turf, where he spent ten years gaining valuable experience growing turf and working on prestigious projects such as The Celtic Manor, The Principality Stadium and many more. During this time, Lindum Turf began using Floratine products. This was the catalyst for a lifelong fascination for the science behind how to grow the best sports turf, and David’s love of sports is surpassed only by his passion for delivering excellent turf playing surfaces.

  • David joined the Floratine Products Group and spent the next nine years working as the Technical Director in Europe for Floratine. The role took David to the USA, Portugal, Spain, Italy, France, Germany, Austria, The Netherlands, Scandinavia, Iceland, Australia and the UAE, learning in depth about warm and cold season grasses and the needs of the course manager and head of grounds. These diverse travels greatly enriched David’s knowledge base and expertise, enabling him to bring a wealth of experience to managing your sports turf.

  • The opportunity to become part of a management buyout of the Floratine Products Group then led David and Jo Snowden to set up Agronomic Services Ltd.

    From 2007 to the present day, the business has flourished which has resulted in a distribution network throughout the UK, Europe and internationally. This is combined,
    alongside the careful curation of a world class product range and the use of Ana Lync to enable precise diagnosis.

Angus McRae joined Agronomic Services Ltd in 2024 as Sales Manager, bringing a fresh perspective to our sports turf and viticulture offerings.

Angus looks after our viticulture division, providing tailored nutrition solutions to vineyards across the UK. He also plays a significant role in our sports turf operations, collaborating with golf, football and rugby clubs to enhance turf health and performance. Angus embraces our science-led approach to deliver optimal results for our clients.​
